Born in 1987, my mother had no fear when it came to introducing me to Duchess, her much loved Old English Sheepdog. From that moment on we shared everything and as I grew I developed my love for the herding breed. At nearly ten years old this Old English Sheepdog was a gentle giant and after her passing my mother filled the gap in our hearts with another OES who I dutifully named Fuzzy Buns. Since that point I’ve lived in a household filled with Shepherds, Shelties, and Collies but it wasn’t until my first border collie that I ever really contemplated the possibility of becoming a trainer. Through positive reinforcement and force-free techniques I think I have the right to brag and state I have some of the happiest, healthiest pups in the state of Virginia. Through training I want to strength the bond between people and their canine companions. I want the difference to be known of what a little foundation training can prevent later in life.
